Location of Najd is in Iraq or in Najd?

In connection with the hadith of the Prophet which states that will arise from Najd slander, riots and devil horns, the Wahhabis tried to mislead the Muslims that the Prophet intended Najd is Iraq, precisely Kuffah city. This is to protect their "Shaikh", Muhammad ibn Abd al-Wahhab, who was born in Najd. Father and brother MBAW, Sulayman, refused MBAW misguided teachings because who think the majority of Muslims polytheists.
This is not true. Reasons: 1. If you have the name as Najd, don't confuse it with other name such as Iraq.

2. In the East Medina (where the Prophet said) that there is Najd. Not Iraq. Iraq is right in the north. Although the Prophet used to say the East or the West, but the Prophet in the hadith about defecation mention we are prohibited facing or back to the Kaaba when we defecate. But face to the east or to the west. So there is a difference between the North (back to the Kaaba) to the east. See Map of Najd and Iraq you will undoubtedly know.3. Position the East Najd in Medina clarified by Hadith of the Prophet facing toward the sunrise. Well Sunrise was definitely from the east of Medina was fitting considering its position in 24 degrees North latitude. The most northerly position of the Sun is only 23.5 degrees north. It's the same as Najd. E.g. Riyadh city which located in Najd also in 24 degrees North latitude. While Kufa / Najaf  in Iraq is located at 32 degrees north latitude. 8 more degrees north of the city of Medina. Kufa is 880 km to the north of Medina. We must understand the geography and the circle of the sun in order to understand this issue. If not, we can go astray.

4. When the Prophet said the hadith to bless Sham and Yemen, the people of Najd also attended.

5. Najd in Arabic means a high place. Najd altitude is about 1000 meters above sea level. While Iraq is precisely located in the lowlands with a height of less than 100 meters. Kuffah elevation is only 105 feet or 32 meters.
6. There is a hadith of the Prophet (Sunan Nasa'i No. 2656) from Sayyidah 'A'ishah that distinguishes miqat place between residents of Najd (in Qorn which means "horn") and the people of Iraq (in Dzatu' IRQ). It's clear in this hadith that Najd and Iraq are mentioned together as  a different place.

7. Wahhabists rebellion / bombing in Afghanistan, Libya, Syria, Iraq, etc. have killed more than 2.8 million Muslims. From its birth, Muhammad bin Abdul Wahhab combat (read: slaughter) tens of thousands of Muslims in Najd, Ta'if, Mecca, Medina, etc. with the pretext that they were killing polytheists. In Indonesia, they called NU as misguided / mushrik with the practice of pilgrimage and prayer in the cemetery. They call Sufi as heresy because of Ghuluw. Later they call Shiite as Kafir then slandered Sunni Muslim such as KH Said Aqil Siradj, KH Quraish Shihab, Rizieq Shihab, etc. as Shiites. This means the Sunni scholars are infidels / apostates and must be killed. It's easy for Wahabi to call Sunni Muslims who do not agree with them as Shiite or infidels. If the scholars refuse, they call them as Shiites Taqiyah. More than 500 scholars from around the world at the Amman Message (www.ammanmessage.com) argues that Shiites as part of Islam just like Sunni.
Najd and Iraq Topographic Map

These are the hadits:
Iraq, Syria, and Yemen are destroyed because attacked by Saudi Arabia (Najd) and US Zionists.

From Ibnu Umar, Prophet PBUH said: "O Allah, please bless Sham and Yemen." People of Najd beg: "Our Najd o Prophet, please bless it". Prohet said: "O Allah, please bless Sham and Yemen."They beg: "Our Najd o Prophet, please bless it". Prophet said: "In Najd there will be turmoils and fitna. There will be the Satan followers there." [Bukhari 979, Turmudzi 3888, Ahmad 5715]

Hadith of Ibn 'Umar .: That he heard the Prophet said while facing eastward: Know, verily slander will happen there! Know, verily slander will happen there. From that place appears devil horns. (Saheeh Muslim, No.5167)

From 'Abdullah ibn' Umar who said the Prophet pbuh doing the dawn prayer and then say hello and facing towards the sun rose as he said "slander coming from here, slander come away from the direction of the emergence of devil horns" [Musnad Ahmad 2/72 No. 5410 with saheeh sanad]

From Aisha who said the Prophet pbuh set miqat for the people of Medina in Dhul Hulaifah, for the people of Sham and Egypt in Juhfah, for the people of Iraq in Dzatu' IRQ, for the people of Najd at Qarn and the people of Yemen in Yalamlam (Saheeh Sunan Nasa ' i no 2656)

Of Abu Ayyub Al Anshori, the Prophet pbuh said, "If you go to toilet, then you do not face the qiblah or against it. However, face to the east or the west. "Abu Ayyub said," In the past we've ever stayed in Sham. We found our toilet was built facing the Qibla direction. We also changed the direction of the place and we beg forgiveness of Allah Almighty. "(HR. Bukhari no. 394 and Muslim, no. 264).

Above hadith is quite clear. We must understand the hadith. Do not let it just in the esophagus only. Wahhabis do not want to obey the scholarly accordance with the pretext of the Qur'an and Hadith. Instead they follow blindly to their sheikh. They turn the meaning of the clear hadith above upside down.

I hope we avoid young stupid people at the end of time, who always say the Qur'an and Hadith, but do not understand and  practice them. Al Quran and hadits are in their throat only.

In addition to Najd the birthplace of the founder of the Wahhabi, Muhammad bin Abdul Wahhab, the Prophet also explained that from the tribe of Bani Tamim will appear Kharijites / followers of the Antichrist. Bani Tamim is the tribe of Muhammad ibn Abdul Wahhab:
Have told us Abu Al Yemen has preached to us from Az Zuhriy Shoaib said, has told me Abu Salamah ibn 'Abdur Rahman that Abu Sa'eed al Khudriy ra said; When we were with the Prophet Muhammad who was distributing division (treasure), came Dhul Khuwaishirah, a man from Bani Tamim, and said; O Messenger of Allah, be fair. The Prophet pbuh said: Woe to you !. Who could do justice if I alone can not do justice. Indeed you have experienced evil and harm if I do not do justice. Then 'Umar said; Messenger of Allah, allow me to chop off his neck !. He said: Let him. Because he later would have friends that one of you look down upon his prayer than their prayers, fasting than their fasting. They read the Koran, but not up to their throats. They come out of religion as a slipping of arrows from the target (the prey). (Bukhari 3341)Messenger of Allah said: "Later in the end times would appear people who read the Koran but did not exceed the throat, they break up Islam as the discharge of arrows from his bow, and they will continue to appear, so exit the latter than they are with the Antichrist, so if you see with them, then fight because they were the worst of creatures and the worst of the caliph. "(Sunan Nasai / 4108, Sunan Ahmad / 19 783)

Hadith Ali., He said: I heard the Messenger of Allah. said: At the end of time would appear the young stupid people. They spoke with the conversation from the best man (Sunnah). They read the Koran, but not beyond their throats. They come out of religion, as fast as an arrow from a bow slide. When you meet with them, then kill them, because killing them rewarding in the sight of Allah on the Day of Judgment. (Saheeh Muslim, No.1771)

"Going out at the end of time a people that age they are still young, and foolish, they say your best man speech (Sunnah), reading the Koran but only in their throat. They came out of the din (religion) as arrows off from its bow. "(HR. Bukhari and Muslim)

  1. You are ignorant. Najd is Iraq not the Najd in Saudi. You have to read other Hadiths in totality to come to conclusion. Half baked knowledge will result in going astray. Abdullah Ibn-Umar related that once, he saw the Prophet showing `Iraq with his hand, and saying: "The fitna is here, the fitna is here, the fitna is here, three times, it is from here that will appear the devil's horns,"(sahih) (Reference:-Musnad-e-Ahmad Vol.10 Page.391 Hadith.6302 or 6129, Ibn Fudail reported on the authority of his father that he heard Salim b. 'Abdullah b. 'Umar as saying: O people of Iraq, how strange it is that you ask about the minor sins but commit major sins? I heard from my father 'Abdullah b. 'Umar, narrating that he heard Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) as saying while pointing his hand towards the east: Verily, the turmoil would come from this side, from where appear the horns of Satan and you would strike the necks of one another. Sahih Muslim Book 041, Hadith Number 6943. Narrated by Yusair bin 'Amr:I asked Sahl bin Hunaif, "Did you hear the Prophet saying anything about Al-Khawarij?" He said, "I heard him saying while pointing his hand towards Iraq. "There will appear in it (i.e, Iraq) some people who will recite the Quran but it will not go beyond their throats, and they will go out from (leave) Islam as an arrow darts through the game's body.' " Sahih Bukhari Volume 9 : Book 84 : Hadith 68

  2. actually brother, the vast majority of evidence clearly distinguishes Iraq from Najd.
For the people of Medina Dhu'l-Hulaifa is the place for entering upon the state of Ihram, and for (the people coming through the other way, i. e. Syria) it is Juhfa; for the people of IRAQ it is Dbat al-'Irq; for the people of NAJD it is Qarn (al-Manazil) and for the people of Yemen it is Yalamlam (Muslim)clearly separated here. also, the hadith you posted doesnt mean that Iraq is Najd, it simply means Iraq will also have fitna like Najd but since the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) himself distinguished Iraq and Najd, they cannot be the same.

no expedition was undertaken to Iraq during prophets time.
Narrated Ibn 'Umar: I took part in a Ghazwa towards Najd along with Allah's Apostle and we clashed with the enemy, and we lined up for them (Bukhari).
Narrated Sinan and Abu Salama: Jabir mentioned that he had participated in a Ghazwa towards Najd in the company of Allah's Apostle (Bukhari).
The Prophet (pbuh) never did ghazwa in Iraq in his time with sahaba (radiallo anhum) but he did in Najd

    1. ~ Some Historical Evidences

Every kind of fitnah took place in Iraq:

      1) Fitnah of the Battle of Jamal (which made the Sahaabah fight with each other)..
      2) Fitnah of the Battle of Siffeen (in which more than 30,000 sahaabah were martyred)
      3) Fitnah of the Khawaarij (they emerged from Kufa and other places in IRAQ)…
      4) Fitnah of the Shias (all of them emerged from IRAQ)..
      5) The Karbala Tragedy where Imam Hussain was betrayed by his own Shias(it happened in IRAQ)…
      6) Several authentic Ahaadeeth point to IRAQ as the Horn of Devil (Qarn us shayateen)..

Therefore, the word Najd referred as a place of fitnah is none other than IRAQ

      a) Fitna e Khawarij came from Iraq.
      b) Those who martyred Usman-e-Gani(Radiallah Anh) were from Iraq.
      c) Haz Ali(Radiallah Anh) was Martyred in Iraq.
      d) Hazrat Hussain(Radiallah Anh) was martyred at Karbala – Iraq.
      e) Hazrat Umar Bin Khattab(Radiallah Anh) was martyred by Piruzan also known as known as Abu Lulu, he was slave of Mughira ibn Shu’ba the governor of Busra.

Conclusion:-It is Crystal clear from above Ahadith that East refers to Iraq not Saudi Arabia.

      1-Najd Yamen.
      2-Najd Iraq.
      3-Najd Hijaaz.
      4-Najd Khal.
      5-Najd Al-Shari.
      6-Najd Azaar.
      7-Najd Al-Aqaab.
      8-Najd Kabkab.
      9-Najd Mari.
      10-Najd Alwaz.
      11-Najd Aja.
      12-Najd Barqq.

      Anchor1. Allama Ibn Manzoor Afriki(630 h-711 h) said:
The high place from Tihama to Iraq is najd. [Lisaan al-Arab 3/413]

Anchor2. Allama Ibn Athir (544h-606h) said:
Najd is high (elevated) place, This is a specific name of a place which lies outside the Hijaz related to Iraq. [al-Nihaya fi gharib al hadith wal athar 5/19]

Anchor3. Imam Ibn Abdul Bar (368h-463h) said:
Allah knows best that the reason behind pointing of Prophet peace be upon him towards east regarding fitna is that the biggest fitna which was the key of troubles was the martyrdom of Uthman bin Affan radhiAllahu anhu, and that was the reason behind the war of Jamal and Siffeen, these troubles started from the east. Then Kharjites emerged from the land of najd, Iraq and it’s regions. [al-Istidhkaar, 8/519]

Anchor4. Same is said by Ibn Battaal (449h) in Sharh Sahih Bukhari. [10/44]

      Anchor5. Imam Kirmani said:
The najd of the people of Madina Tayyiba (صلى الله على ساكنها وسلم) is Iraq and it is situated in east. [Sharh Kirmani, 24/168]

      Anchor6. Imam Khattabi (319h-388h) said:
‘And for the one who is in Madeenah then his najd would be the desert of Iraaq and it’s regions for this is to the east of the People of Madeenah. The basic meaning of Najd is that which is raised/elevated from the earth. [Ailaam al hadith of Imam Khattabi 2/1274 al-Magharabiya]

Anchor7. Imam Ibn Hajar al-Asqalani said regarding problems and troubles:
This was started from Iraq which is on the side of east. [Fath ul Bari, 13/13]

      Anchor8. Imam Ibn Tamiyyah said:
It is known that Kufa was (land of) fitna and division as there is nus and consensus. [Majmu Fatawa 20/316]. According to some scholars this refers to the east of that time because most of the kuffar were living in the east. So this does not refer to any specific place rather it was regarding most of the kuffar living in the east. This is like now a days west refers to the place where most of the kuffar are living. Now if someone says west is the land of fitna this is not wrong as it is true that West is doing war against Islam. It does not mean whoever is living in west is a fitna. If scholars say things against the culture of west that does not mean they are speaking against all the people in the West.

Conclusion: Finally, we conclude that Najd means part of Iraq. Anyway it does not mean at all that this place is disparaged totally and that those who live there are dispraised. But whoever lives there should be patient during hardships and keep himself away from afflictions. No doubt, such persons will be considered amongst the best people of this Ummah. There are numerous eminent scholars of Qur’an, Hadith, Fiqh and other fields of Shariah who belong to that place thanks to Allah.

Ibn Umar narrated that the Messenger of Allaah(sallallaahu alayhiwa sallam) prayed Fajr and then faced the people and said, “O Allaah bestow your blessings on our Madinah, O Allaah bestow your blessings in our measuring, O Allaah bestow your blessings in our Shaam and our Yemen.” A person said, “And Iraq O Messenger of Allah?” He said, “from there arises Earth Quakes, trials and tribulations would come the Horn of Satan.” [Al-Mujjam Awsat Tabarani, Hadith-4230]

So many Fitnas related to one place and that is IRAQ.. so Noble Prophet صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم mentioning is IRAQ as a core place of Fitna has been proved at the later stages.

Conclusion:-It is Crystal clear from above Ahadith that East refers to Iraq not Saudi Arabia.

  4. Sahih Bukhari Hadees # 7094
Narrated Ibn `Umar: The Prophet said, O Allah! Bestow Your blessings on our Sham! O Allah! Bestow Your blessings on our Yemen. The People said, And also on our Najd. He said, O Allah! Bestow Your blessings on our Sham (north)! O Allah! Bestow Your blessings on our Yemen. The people said, O Allah's Apostle! And also on our Najd. I think the third time the Prophet said, There (in Najd) is the place of earthquakes and afflictions and from there comes out the side of the head of Satan.

Ahmad b. `Umar reported this hadith from Salim, but he did not make a mention of the words: I heard .

  5. Najd-East refers to IRAQ Not Saudi Arabia

Ibn Umar reported: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “O Allah, bless us in our Syria. O Allah, bless us in our Yemen.” He repeated it and on the third or fourth time, they said, “O Messenger of Allah, and in our Iraq.” The Prophet said, “Verily, from there will appear upheavals and tribulations and from there will rise the horn of Satan.”

The hadith of ibn Umar Reported by Abu Nu’aym in al-Hilya (6/133)
“O Allaah bestow your blessings on our Madeenah, and bestow your blessings on our Mecca, and bestow your blessings on our Shaam, and bestow your blessings on our Yemen, and bestow your blessings in our measuring (fee saa’inaa wa muddinaa).” A person said, ”O Messenger of Allaah and in our Iraaq” and so he turned away from him and said, “there will occur earthquakes, trials and tribulations and there will appear the horn of Satan.”
(Shu’ayb al-Arna’ut declares it’s isnaad to be sahih as in his footnotes to ‘Sharh as-Sunnah’ (14/206-207 fn. 2) and he too endorses the words of al-Khattaabi quoted above.)

The hadith of ibn Umar reported in at-Tabaraani in ‘al-Awsat’that the Messenger of Allaah, sallallaahu alayhi wa sallam prayed Fajr and then faced the people and said, “O Allaah bestow your blessings on our Madinah, O Allaah bestow your blessings in our measuring, O Allaah bestow your blessings in our Shaam and our Yemen.” A person said, “And Iraq O Messenger of Allah?” He said, “from there arises the horn of Satan and the trials and tribulations would come like mounting waves.”

Ibn Hajar said: “Al-Khattaabi said: ‘The Najd in the direction of the east, and for the one who is in Madinah then his Najd would be the desert of Iraaq and it’s regions [baadiya al-Iraaq wa Nawaahihaa] for this is to the east of the People of Madinah. The basic meaning of Najd is that which is raised/elevated from the earth in contravention to al-Gawr for that is what is lower than it. Tihaamah [the coastal plain along the south-western and southern shores of the Arabian Peninsula] is entirely al-Gawr and Mecca is in Tihaamah.’ Ibn Hajar continues, “by this [saying of al-Khattaabi] the weakness of the saying of ad-Daawodi is understood that ‘Najd is in the direction of Iraaq’ [min Naahiya al-Iraaq] for he suggests that Najd is a specific place. This is not the case, rather everything that is elevated with respect to what adjoins it is called Najd and the lower area called Gawr.” [Fath al-Baari, 13/58-59]
