Islam: Jesus Is Not a God, But A Prophet

According to Islam Jesus is not a God, but he is only one of God’s prophet (like: Adam, Noah, Abraham, Moses, and Muhammad):

“They do blaspheme who say: “Allah is Christ the son of Mary.” But said Christ: “O Children of Israel! Worship Allah, my Lord and your Lord.” Whoever joins other gods with Allah, Allah will forbid him the Garden, and the Fire will be his abode. There will for the wrongdoers be no one to help.” [Quran Al Maidah:72]

There is some difference between Christian and Islam. In Gospel, Jesus is the son of Joseph, while Quran says Jesus is the son of Mary, since Mary give birth to Jesus without having any sexual relationship with Joseph (after all, the Gospel also says Jesus is the Son of God – or Joseph?):

“3:23 And Jesus himself began to be about thirty years of age, being (as was supposed) the son of Joseph, which was the son of Heli” [Luke 3:23]
“3:38 Which was the son of Enos, which was the son of Seth, which was the son of Adam, which was the son of God.” [Luke 3:38]

Gospel says that Adam is the son of God too (look the above verse).

“1:16 And Jacob begat Joseph the husband of Mary, of whom was born Jesus, who is called Christ.
1:17 So all the generations from Abraham to David are fourteen generations; and from David until the carrying away into Babylon are fourteen generations; and from the carrying away into Babylon unto Christ are fourteen generations.
1:18 Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost.” [Matthew 1:16-18]

Look the Quran verses that says Jesus is the son of Mary (not the son of Joseph or God):

“And behold! Allah will say: “O Jesus the son of Mary! didst thou say unto men, ‘Worship me and my mother as gods in derogation of Allah’?” He will say: “Glory to Thee! never could I say what I had no right (to say). Had I said such a thing, Thou wouldst indeed have known it. Thou knowest what is in my heart, though I know not what is in Thine. For Thou knowest in full all that is hidden.” [Quran Al Maidah:116]
